Community Charity

It’s been a tough year for everyone. We get it…The pandemic, the masks, the challenging regulations for the restaurant industry. Even now industry wide shortages, crazy housing costs and the post pandemic world, quite honestly it’s all been mentally and physically challenging. As we pondered this we thought it’s been mentally and physically challenging for a lot of people before, during and after the pandemic. While the regulations ended for most of us there are some lives that still deal with serious and in some cases severe challenges. To that end we felt the need to help anyway we could so we joined up with our friends at Barnstable Brewing and  came up with 2 beers to celebrate our 50th anniversary and we are donating dollars of every single sale to 2 very special organizations.
One is HEROS IN TRANISTION that helps returning service men and women who have served or who are serving our country, especially in the Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF) and Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF) conflicts, by providing appropriate assistance to those with special needs in four key areas:
  • Home modifications for disabled veterans
  • Transitional Support Group Therapy
  • Financial support for service families
  • Assistance dogs for veterans
Their mission is to provide assistance that is not readily available from other organizations including local, state, and federal agencies. We are extremely proud to help them in this endeavor.
The second is COMPASSIONATE CARE ALS their mission is to support people diagnosed with ALS, their families, healthcare providers, and communities as they navigate the complexities, both physical and emotional, associated with the disease. The organization provides resources including equipment, educational opportunities, Medicare/Medicaid assistance, communication assistance, guidance and awareness with regards to living with ALS, caregiving, and exploring end-of-life when invited.
Both of these organizations are extremely important to us. Personally, we have been affected and part of them.
Although as a small business we are limited in what we can do we hope that even if you don’t buy this beer please go to these websites and donate what you can. Physical and mental issue are like a pebble in a pond they don’t just effect one person but send waves through families that truly need support.
Both beers will be available at local liquor stores in Dennis/Yarmouth, on tap at local restaurants, and of course at the Doghouse!
Support who you can, when you can, anyway you can!
Thanks for helping us support others!
